Scorpio & Aquarius, part 1: Two Contrasting Styles of Non-Conformity
In many ways, Scorpio and Aquarius are like twins facing in the opposite direction. This series will explore how their contrasting drives seems to merge and mirror.
Part 1: The Non-Conformist.
Scorpio and Aquarius are the most independent minds in the zodiac.
Both are renegades and non-conformists who prefer to follow their own vision rather than history, protocol, or expectation.
Don’t try to tell either what to do. Scorpio and Aquarius people don’t listen to anyone except their inner muses.
And yet their ultimate desires in rejecting tradition are hardly similar.
While neither wants to blend in, Aquarius needs very much to merge with society and only rebels in such a way that is admired and embraced by the masses; Scorpio, one the other hand, doesn’t value the embrace of the masses and is willing to be so divergent that they risk becoming social outcasts, fringe dwellers and loners. With the right Pluto aspects and 8th house, a Scorpio might even aim to so repel society, family, or friends, so much that they have no choice but to stand alone.
Of course, the extremes depend on others factors in one’s natal chart. The placement of Uranus and Saturn are key — as is the 8th house and Pluto.
Unless you’re a lover, Scorpio could care less if you like and accept them.
Aquarius, needs to be liked by everyone, including enemies. I’ve seen this.
I’ve witnessed people make subtle sniping remarks toward a few Aquarius people and the Aquas respond innocently as if they don’t know they are being attacked.
Scorpios would never do this. A remark, no matter how subtle, will be noted as a potential threat or slight and then you are on “the list” for eternity.
