Aries & Taurus: Perfect Complements?

Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love. Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of sexuality. Merge them and you get a complete romantic package: tender devotion plus hot, hot passion.

The Good
Taurus and Aries offer each other a balance. Taurus is cautious and slow to act; Aries charges ahead without hesitation. Taurus is practical; Aries is rash. Taurus is scared of getting hurt; Aries gets bruised and keeps it moving. When they get together, they force each other to meet in the middle, and both are better, more well rounded individuals for it. They admire the differences in the other and prove the adage that “opposites attract.” While the differences in nature can create some tension, this can be turned in positive, productive stress that encourages new ways of thinking and compromise. Taurus is a home body. Aries likes to go out and paint the town crimson. Dates should be two-fold to appease both: a daredevil night out, followed by snuggling safely in the boudoir in front of candles.

The Bad
The less mature Taurus will be spooked by Aries’ hard-core, no-holds barred approach to life. The unevolved Aries will balk at Taurus’ urges to be more realistic, cautious and responsible. Aries is a cardinal sign and must lead. Taurus is a fixed sign and won’t accept a leader. Aries likes to argue and clash for fun. Taurus doesn’t like conflict despite having the strength and toughness to endure it and to put Aries in their place. Bulls are lovers not fighters.

Sexual Chemistry
Aries loves sex — they like the movement, the heat, the positions, the colliding of bodies. Taurus likes sensuality, which is a little different. They live for the sensory stimuli: the smell of a lover in heat, the texture of the skin, the softness of the hair, the color of the eyes they will stare deeply into for hours. Taurus will teach Aries that sex isn’t about orgasm and speed, but about savoring the experience. It’s a good blend that will bring substance to Aries’ love life and a little more spice than Taurus normally has.

Long Term Outlook
When a Taurus mates, they mate forever. But getting them to the altar is tough. They are stubborn, suspicious, and don’t budge unless they believe they have a love that won’t renege on them later. They don’t want the pain. If Aries commits at all, they like to just do it already. If they don’t get a commitment soon, they vanish to the next contestant. Unless they are really, really in love. In that case, Aries will bear the burden of giving Taurus the reassurance and loyalty needed to forge a long-term bond.
